Yes. So eloquently worded. I mean. It meets my need for... BLA ;)
Thank you.

I was surfing the net to find if others had thought about this.
NVC is very popular right now and I see it often being (ab)used to 'cover up' toxic behavior.
So I love reading your clear analysis.

I too am familiar with communication from a young age but in a different way. I'm also a psychologist, familiar with TA and NVC.

I am so impressed of what your parents did, reading books together on communication. I'll implement that in my family too.

Thank you for sharing!

Dear Conal,

I read your piece when it came out on th 30th of October and I thought it was brilliant. I appreciate it so much but I didn't have time to reply. So I just want to say right now that I appreciate your clarity around "NVC from the inside".

Has there been only one reply – Jon Kent? I can't believe he's the only one who has responded.
Is that right? Please let me know.

I have much more to say in appreciation, but I need to go to bed – my body is saying: "sleep".

Lots of love to you,

Joe

This is very helpful to me. It mirrors my own thinking and helps clarify why I've pulled back substantially on my NVC teaching. It has also clarified my conflict resolution work.
